An original collection of secret WW2 War Cabinet Charts, compiled by the British Government's Cabinet Office during the war for the use of the Chiefs of Staff Committee. Published just after the war by the Cabinet Office Historical Section and printed by the Air Ministry. This large format book (330mm x 430mm) has 36 detailed coloured charts covering a wide range of subjects including: armed forces casualties, civilian casualties, merchant shipping losses, U-Boat numbers, Bomber command totals of bombs dropped, aircraft production, USAF bombing missions, Flying Bombs, Rockets, population details, exports, imports, and munitions production. The charts provide an exceptionally detailed and fascinating insight into the level of information that was available to the British Goverment during the war. Each chart is accompanied by a text page with a brief description of its scope and subject matter.
Condition:
In good condition. The boards are in good condition with general signs of use, some marks, and wear to the edges and corners. The binding and hinges are very good and secure. The charts and text pages are in very good condition. There are library bookplates to the front endpapers and very small library ink stamps to the bottom corner of some pages.
